travel
There are many travel opportunities for girls of all grade levels. A field trip to a local art museum or a trip overseas to see the Louvre. Learning to plan trips and travel as a group is one of the basic experiences in Girl Scouting. Travel is all about fun, exploration and progressive experiences, along with meeting new people, seeing new places, and learning about other cultures. As girls grow older and more experienced in travel, the scope of their travel broadens to include travel across the country or abroad on a girl planned trip with sister Girl Scouts, or as an individual in a council or Girl Scouts of the USA sponsored destination.
Capitalizing on Careers in Chicago Join other Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts in Chicago for a journey of a lifetime! Start your journey on a train ride to Union Station in Downtown Chicago. Tour the Girl Scout Programming Center and earn your living running a town as Mayor or writing for the Chicago Tribune in their “Little City.” Look down on the city from the Skydeck at Willis Tower or walk over Lake Michigan at Navy Pier. Look under the surface at the Shedd Aquarium or beyond the stars at the John Hancock Observatory. This is your chance to experience the city and meet the workers that keep it bustling.
destinations are travel adventures that whisk you to the far corners of the United States and the Earth. Trips range from two days to three weeks and are for Girl Scouts ages 11–17. You’ll meet remarkable girls, develop leadership skills, gain confidence, and enjoy valuable learning opportunities.
GSUSA Getaways are geared to Girl Scout troops ages 11-17. Getaways are prepackaged travel opportunities located in different cities around the country. They are great for troops looking to travel for the first time. All getaways are quick weekend or short trips that don’t require an application, just a registration. Often programming options are included in the price, along with a few meals and sleeping arrangements.
London to Lucerne
Girl Scouts will experience the best of both worlds as incredible adventures take them through the bustling streets of London, Paris, and high up into the Swiss Alps. At Pax Lodge and Our Chalet, we’ll arrange for girls to have special pinning ceremonies – making their visit forever memorable and meaningful.
