Women of Distinction is our way of highlighting outstanding women and girls who have made a difference in their communities.  These individuals are nominated by their peers and we celebrate their accomplishments during an awards breakfast.  Join Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons on May 14th for the 19th Annual Women of Distinction event honoring women in your community who inspire girls to lead.

Juliette Gordon Low Legacy Award – This nominee has shown a strong and sustained commitment to Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons by partnering with Girl Scouts for the betterment of the organization.

Woman of Distinction Award – This nominee strives to make the world a better place and has made a contribution of time and support to the community.

Distinctive Woman of Service Award – As a member of the United States Armed Forces, this nominee shows compassion for all and strives to make the world a better place.

Tomorrow’s Leader Award – As a registered Girl Scout, this nominee has potential for extraordinary leadership and service and has completed her Gold or Silver Award by February 1, 2013 or was a council delegate at the 2013 Annual Meeting.

Friend of Distinction Award – This nominee is an organization or business who has joined in partnership with Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons to advance the mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
