Christmas at the Capitol

In celebration of our 100th Anniversary, Girl Scouts was selected to adorn the large center tree inside the South Dakota Capitol building in Pierre, SD. We are honored to be given this opportunity and look forward to seeing your creative ornaments on
display.

Theme for 2012: Joyous Sounds of Christmas
Please try to utilize this theme in your Girl Scout decorations

Decorations
• Ornaments need to be sizeable – 10” X 12” minimum size
• Ornaments must have a very strong 5” wide wire loop attached for hanging
• Try not to use individual pictures as they ‘get lost’ on the large tree
• Submit your individual or troop ornaments to:

Ideas
• Use new and vintage Girl Scout items including uniforms, books, badges, etc.
• Incorporate cookie boxes and nut cans/tins
• Tie in the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts
• Create ornaments that represent why you love being a Girl Scout
